Leather Specifications

We use Tasman Leathers for our furniture. Tasman has become synonymous with its Natural range of upholstery leathers that enhance the natural characteristics of the hide.  With a variety of wax and oil finishes which are plated and milled and ironed to bring out the depth of the dyes and give a variety of looks from vintage to sophisticated aniline leathers with smooth finishes.

These are the finest leathers produced and with the wide range of finishes in the Natural leathers they will enhance your furniture for years to come.  Some of these leathers are more rugged with the natural markings of the hide, showing the character that differentiates it from others.

Technical specifications:

  • Schedule 4 Part 1 Cigarette test
  • Schedule 5 Part 1 Match Test (modifications of BS5852: Part 1) of the Furniture and Furnishings Fire Safety Regulations 1988.
  • Tasman leathers comply with Schedule 5 Part 5 (ignition source 5) in conjunction with appropriate foam combination.
