How many Stacks Furniture stores are there?

While their used to be several Stacks stores in the North Island, we are the only one. Purchased by Meg & Duncan Domett in 2009 we are totally independent from any other store.


Where is Stacks Furniture made?

We source beautiful things from all around the world!  All of our sofas and lounge chairs are made here in New Zealand, in either Auckland or Wellington and many of our other pieces are also New Zealand made. If you are wondering where something was made then please ask and we will let you know.


Does Stacks Furniture come in custom sizes?

In most cases, yes! The pieces in our showroom have been designed so you can see and feel lots of different options. If we have exactly what you are looking for then you are welcome to purchase these options off the floor. Otherwise you will have all the information you need to have them made to your specifications. In most cases there is no charge for this but we will let you know when we are going through options with you.


How long for delivery?

Items purchased from our showroom can be delivered to you the next day, Monday – Saturday. Other delivery times depend on what product you are ordering. Our sofas and chairs take between 4-6 weeks and most other items between 2 days and three weeks. We will let you know before you order when you can expect delivery and will keep you updated if there are unforeseen delays.


Can you deliver throughout New Zealand?

Yes, we can arrange delivery anywhere in New Zealand for accessories, lighting and furniture. Prices will vary depending on the size and destination of the item (as per display at the cart). Some over-sized items will require a quote specific to the weight of the item, and it's destination – in this case, we will provide a quote prior to finalising the payment.


If we see a piece but would like it covered in our own fabric, are we able to do this?

Absolutely! Just let us know and we can advise exactly how much fabric you will need.


If we are unsure about a piece can we take it on appro?

Yes, just leave us your credit card number or a cheque and you are welcome to take any item on appro for 24 hours.


Do you have lay-by?

Yes, you are welcome to lay-by any product with us.


What are your payment terms?

If you wish to purchase a piece from the showroom we require full payment, for orders a 30% deposit is needed on ordering and the balance prior to delivery.


What guarantee do Stacks products have?

Guarantee times vary between our suppliers and depending on what type of item you have purchased.

At a minimum our sofas have a 10 year guarantee on frames, foam and workmanship, many have a longer guarantee than this. We can make you aware of the length of a guarantee of a piece you are interested in before you purchase.


Do I need to assemble my furniture?

No, all of our furniture is assembled prior to delivery to you, with the exception of the Cape Cod chair kitset (we can assemble this for you as well if you would like).


What if I am unsure of what I need for my home?

We are more than happy to come to your house and help you with colour and style selection and help you measure out your space to see what would work. There is no charge for this service.
