How many Stacks Furniture stores are there?

While there used to be several Stacks stores in the North Island, we are the only one. Purchased by Meg & Duncan Domett in 2009 we are independent from any other store.


Where is our furniture made?

We source our beautiful pieces from all around the world! Our New Zealand made sofas, armchairs, ottomans and headboards are made in Christchurch, with many of our other pieces, including our Ghost furniture range New Zealand made. If you are wondering where something is made then please ask and we will let you know!


Can our furniture come in custom sizes?

In most cases, yes! The pieces in our showroom are designed so you can see and feel lots of different options. If we have exactly what you are looking for then you are welcome to purchase these options off the floor. Otherwise, you will have all the information you need to have them made to your specifications. In most cases, there is no charge for this but we will let you know when we are going through options with you.


How long for delivery?

Items purchased from our showroom can often be delivered to you the next day, Monday – Saturday. Other delivery times depend on what product you are ordering. Our NZ made custom sofas and chairs take between 6-8 weeks and most other items between 2 days and three weeks. We will let you know before you order when you can expect delivery and will keep you updated if there are unforeseen delays.


Can you deliver throughout New Zealand?

Yes, we can arrange delivery anywhere in New Zealand. Prices will vary depending on the size and destination of the item. Some oversized items will require a quote specific to the weight of the item, and its destination – in this case, we will provide a quote before finalising the payment. If we see a piece but would like it covered in our own fabric, are we able to do this?

Absolutely! Just let us know and we can advise exactly how much fabric you will need.


If we are unsure about a piece can we take it on appro?

Yes, We offer an appro service on most pieces. Just leave us your contact details and you are welcome to take it on appro for 24 hours. We also have many samples that you can take home and test out. 


Do you have Afterpay?

Yes, we offer Afterpay!

What guarantee do Stacks products have?

Guarantee times vary between our suppliers and depending on what type of item you have purchased.

At a minimum our sofas have a 10 year guarantee on frames, foam and workmanship, many have a longer guarantee than this. We can make you aware of the length of a guarantee of a piece you are interested in before you purchase.


Do I need to assemble my furniture?

No, most of our furniture is assembled before delivery to you, with the exception of some pieces such as bed frames and dining tables. These are delivered unassembled to ensure there is no damage during delivery. They come with all of the necessary tools and fixtures to easily assemble. (We can assemble these for you as well if you would like).


What if I need some help designing my sofa? 

We are here to help guide you through the process and answer any questions you have. We also offer complimentary in-home and virtual consults


We want new furniture, but we have kids and pets? 

Having kids and pets does not need to equal ugly furniture! We want our pieces to last generations, so we are happy to help you find the best pieces for you and your family.
